Picture Day | Event Website Feature

Made with Figma, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Illustrator

I came up with the idea for "Picture Day," an event for AIGA at CalPoly Pomona where students could take professional photos using photography materials and studio lighting. I prototyped and designed a website for the event, focusing on creating an engaging and user-friendly experience. The site provided information about the event, allowing students to book sessions for headshots, portraits, or other photography needs. It also highlighted guest volunteers with photography and modeling experience who offered tips and guidance to help students improve their skills.

Site Map

I created a clear and organized site map to ensure easy navigation and a seamless user experience. The site map outlined key sections such as event details, booking information, volunteer profiles, and a gallery to showcase photos. By structuring the site logically, I ensured that users could quickly find the information they needed and navigate through the event offerings with ease.

Wireframe

I developed wireframes to establish the layout and structure of key pages. The wireframes focused on creating a clean, intuitive design that highlighted important event information, such as session booking and volunteer details. I prioritized simplicity and usability, ensuring that users could easily navigate between sections and find the information they needed. These wireframes served as the foundation for the website, allowing for efficient design iterations and a user-centered final product.

Prototype

By designing a user-friendly website, I was able to showcase the event's offerings, such as booking sessions, highlighting volunteer expertise, and displaying photography tips. The project allowed me to combine creativity with practicality, ensuring an engaging experience for students while emphasizing ease of navigation and accessibility.
